What is the Process?
  • Applicants must express their interest to permanently immigrate to Canada.

  • They must create an online Express Entry Profile

  • They must receive an Invitation to Apply through CEC Program from the Canadian Government before they can apply for PR.

General requirements:

  • Have minimum one year of (full-time or equivalent part-time) Canadian work experience, within last 3 years, in one or more occupations listed in skill type level 0, A or B of the NOC matrix

  • Meet the minimum language requirements according to the applicant's skill level: CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs, or CLB 5 for NOC B jobs

  • Main applicant can be outside of Canada when applying

  • Quebec work experience is accepted but can not intend to live in Quebec

NOTE: CEC Experience does not count if:

  • Work experience gained without proper authorization (illegally, without visa, while on a refugee claim)

  • While on a study permit

  • While self-Employed

  • NOC C/D level

Canadian Experience Class and International Students

Since eligible International students receive work permit upon completion of their studies, this program provides a quick and easy way to immigrate permanently in Canada. In this case the applicant has already lived in Canada and has relevant Canadian experience. Students are required to have work experience in Canada for a 1 year after the completion of their course to apply under this class of immigration.

Note: Canadian experience Class is not applicable for those who wish to permanently settle in Quebec. However, education and work experience gained in Quebec can be applied for Quebec program requirements.
